Turning Organic Waste to Energy and Fertilizer
Jenny Jaegal, Business Development Manager, Bigadan
Bigadan stands as a prominent global leader in the biogas industry, excelling in the conversion of challenging waste streams into valuable products through anaerobic digestion. With our roots in Denmark, our legacy spans over four decades, marked by the development of more than 40 biogas plants worldwide. Bigadan is developing biogas plants in the U.S., and aims to provide sustainable waste management solutions for locally generated pre- and post-consumer food waste, agriculture residues, and industrial organic waste.
Jenny is Bigadan's first American employee that is contributing to the development of U.S. biogas projects. Her role encompasses cultivating partnerships with local biomass suppliers, biogas off-takers, and fertilizer applicators. Prior to her current role, Jenny worked on solid waste reduction projects in Florida’s public and private sectors, and holds a master’s degree in Global Sustainability, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science.
