Investing with a Systems Approach: Boosting Recycling, Recovery, and Remanufacturing in the Southeast, A Collaboration Between the Closed Loop Partners and The Recycling Partnership


The need to improve the quantity and quality of recyclables is a high priority in light of current recycling market conditions, and new, rigorous efforts are needed to create circular supply chains to achieve effective environmental and economic outcomes. In this session, the speakers will highlight how they are working on a systems-based approach and new models they are developing to user in the next generation of recycling system modernization and innovation, with hopes to drive a reduction in the use of new plastic and other virgin materials.

Bio

No one loves recycling data and local program improvement quite like Cody. With over a decade of industry experience, Cody has managed daily recycling operations in Orange County, North Carolina and worked as a Senior Consultant for RRS where he helped build The Recycling Partnership model. In addition to helping local governments achieve lasting improvements to their recycling programs, he and his wife practice animal husbandry with a brood of backyard chickens in Chapel Hill, NC.
